Why Go Green?

I've been travelling round lots of countries that are very poor compared to us in the UK. A lot of the time the only way to get about is by transport that is polluting the environment. Its a crazy situation, I want to go diving on a coral reef, the only way to get there is on a long tail boat that belches its exhaust into the water and will, with enough visits, damage the reef. So if I take the boat, i'm helping destroy the reef and if I don't go then what was the point of me travelling there in the first place.

So I take the boat and I feel a little guilty, but not too much because I know there is no other way.

Here in the UK things are different, we can do something. We don't have to feel guilty. So we're being bold and trying to be different. We might not save the world, but we might make it last a little longer.

We are the first tour company in the UK to actively promote itself on green issues. We quite like this planet. We hope you feel the same.

1. Our minibus will be carbon neutral. We will plant enough trees to offset the amount of carbon produced by the minibus. We will try to keep track of how many trees we've planted.
2. We have a 'leave no trace' policy. Our efforts to pick up and recycle all the rubbish we generate helps to keep the planet clean and prevents the goverment from finding us.
3. We are commited to local industry and will support it wherever possible. Organic farms, farmers markets, bunkhouses with pubs attached - we love them all.
