Who Are Green Whales?

Rob

Rob is a former high flying office jockey. After a few years in a grey office he'd had enough, so he quit and embarked on a quest to see how far away he could get. He got so far he got back again and thats when he decided to do something different. And now this is what he does.

Rob likes music and writing and unrelated facts and he enjoys floating backwards in strong currents.

Twig

Twig is like a bygone age. His parents used to worry about his lack of commitment to the traditional 9-5 existence and his preoccupation with travel. This concern has been replaced with pride now that he has decided to pass on his passion for his adopted country to his fellow travelers.

He likes books and good times and smoking a pipe.

Green Whales

I like to think of Green Whales as an ever evolving idea rather than as a list of places and times.

I think the tours should respond to the seasons and not be set in stone. Canoeing isn't great in winter and log fires lose their appeal when the sun is beating down.

Another reason for changing things is that we don't want to be static, a one off trip once a life time. We want you to come back to us and we want to suprise you with new stuff when you do.

What this doesn't mean is that everything changes from week to week. The basis of the tours will remain the same, whether its a weekend escape into the country, an activity packed castles and coasts tour of south Wales or the full on tour of the whole country that encompasses the other tours and a whole lot more besides.

The differences are most likely to be found in the accomadation we stay at. We will always provide you with details of the accomadation when you book and also with a full itineray of the sights to be seen/ activities to do. In a world getting more aware of climatic change and carbon footprints, it seems silly to spend seven days travelling halfway round the world to do something you can do in your own backyard.

And thats not even mentioning the cost.

Good times cost nothing.
