Invisible Touch (Canvas on Board)
This painting has been influenced by the modern day use of “Bullet Time” photography or super slow motion filming which is now commonly used in TV and Film visual effects. The method is used to simulate the pausing of time by viewing the same subject from different angles. I've tried to translate this idea into the painting. (good idea eh!) By taking away the body it allows viewer to focus on the form which has been left like a cast or mould.
I've contentiously used the space around the subject . I've tried to visualize gravity , physics and geometry, tricking the mind to thinking there is something solid beneath the fabric. I'm asking the viewer to fill in the blanks and focus on the detail. The audacious use of space helps establish a depth of field. A prominent contrast has been created by using darker shades against the highlighted areas and contrasting lighter shades against shade.

Silver Lady (Silkscreen on Aluminium)
I've consciously left space around the subject and this is amplified by the use of aluminium and bold stripes . The aluminium has great reflective qualities adding depth from all angles. The black and white monochrome painting oozes class and style. Using modern materials such as aluminium and combining them with traditional methods of painting, I feel I've created a very classic contemporary piece you won't be able to get any where else.

Sweet Temptation (Canvas on Board)
The material clings to her body accentuating her natural form and true shape underneath. With minimal background to distract you, your eye wonders through the curves and then gets lost in the shapes made in the wet fabric. I translated the essence of these qualities as she is reflected as a abstract form of texture and colour.
Drew Darcy – As Seen On TV
Now onto lighter note to end news item. For everyone who is into their TV soaps, it has been brought to my attention, that one of my pieces has a new TV career. (“Top Hat And Tails”)

Today Coronation Street, tomorrow Hollywood!
